ClassesDrawing and oil painting classes are offered at the artists' studio at ByOak Farm in Buckingham, Pennsylvania. Art Instruction is available for beginners through advanced students. Lectures and demonstrations are provided and class size is kept small (6 -8 students per class) to insure each student receives the individual attention they need. The atomosphere is open, friendly and supportive. The teaching method is primarily classically based, which develops a students technical skills, such as placement, proportion, perspective and how to create the illusion of 3 dimensional form. This is balanced with intuitive, organic methods and exercises that help a student with brushwork, creative expression and the emotional qualities of the subject. The ultimate goal is to help students to develop solid technical skills as well as develop their own style of expression.
